Located in the Ossola Valley of the Piedmont region in northern Italy, Alpe Veglia and Alpe Devero Natural Park encompasses two adjoining alpine plateaus, Veglia and Devero, which lie at elevations between approximately 1,400 and 3,000 meters above sea level. The park covers a mosaic of glacial valleys, mountain meadows, pristine lakes, and rugged peaks, including notable summits such as Monte Leone and Corno Camoscio. Its diverse ecological environments support a variety of flora including endemic alpine plants and ancient stone pine forests. The area is a refuge for wildlife species such as chamois, ibex, marmots, golden eagles, and the elusive Alpine ibex, providing excellent opportunities for wildlife observation.
