Serra d'Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park, established in 1979, is a remarkable protected area covering the karstic mountain ranges of Serra d'Aire and Serra dos Candeeiros in Central Portugal. Spanning roughly 378 square kilometers across the districts of Leiria and Santarém, the park showcases a dramatic limestone plateau sculpted over millennia by natural erosion, featuring impressive caves, sinkholes, and underground rivers.
