Parc del Montnegre i el Corredor is a natural park located in the Catalonia region of northeastern Spain, spanning parts of the comarques of Maresme and Vallès Oriental. It encompasses two mountain ranges: Montnegre and Corredor, which rise from the Mediterranean coast to inland valleys. The park features rugged terrain, with dense Mediterranean forests dominated by holm oak, cork oak, pine, and chestnut, alongside lush areas of Mediterranean shrubland. This diverse ecosystem supports a wide range of wildlife including wild boar, foxes, birds of prey such as the peregrine falcon, and numerous small mammals and reptiles. Important streams and springs add to the park’s ecological value and support endemic species. Historically, the region has traces of ancient human settlement including Roman roads and medieval farmhouses, adding cultural interest to the natural scenery.
