Caspiysk Nature Reserve is located on the western shores of the Caspian Sea in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. Established primarily to protect the unique coastal and wetland ecosystems of the Caspian littoral zone, the reserve encompasses deltas, marshes, and semi-desert habitats.
