Heixiazi Island Nature Reserve, also known as Black Dragon Island Reserve, is situated in the northeastern part of Heilongjiang Province, China, near the border with Russia where the Amur and Ussuri Rivers converge. The island covers an important wetland ecosystem consisting of floodplains, marshes, and forests, which support a rich biodiversity, including several species of migratory waterfowl, rare amphibians, fish, and mammals such as the Manchurian deer and Eurasian otter.
