Established in 1989, the Yichun Amur Tiger Nature Reserve is located in the Heilongjiang Province of northeastern China and spans a rugged landscape of temperate mixed forests, mountains, and river valleys that provide critical habitat for the Amur tiger, also known as the Siberian tiger. The reserve covers an extensive area of forestland characterized by coniferous and broadleaf tree species, supporting diverse wildlife including Amur leopards, Asiatic black bears, and a variety of rare bird species.
