Forks of the Credit Provincial Park, located in Caledon, Ontario, protects the scenic Forks of the Credit River valley where the East and West branches of the river merge. The park features a diverse landscape of steep slopes, forested areas, rock outcrops, and river valleys. It is part of the larger Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserve and offers a rich variety of flora and fauna, including mixed hardwood forests and various bird species. Historically, the park area was part of early settlement routes and features remnants of old mill sites and quarry workings that hint at its cultural heritage. Outdoor recreation opportunities include hiking, mountain biking, birdwatching, picnicking, and fishing. One of the park’s notable landmarks is the beautiful Cataract Falls, especially impressive during spring runoff.
