Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park, located in southeastern Saskatchewan near the town of Yorkton, spans the southern and eastern shores of Good Spirit Lake. The park is distinguished by its diverse landscape combining rolling forested hills, sandy beaches, sand dunes, and the clear, clean waters of the lake itself. The park is part of the Qu'Appelle Valley system and features unique glacially-formed landforms, including white sandy beaches that draw swimmers, sunbathers, and families each summer. Large stands of aspen, balsam poplar, and mixed shrubbery provide habitat for diverse wildlife such as white-tailed deer, foxes, and numerous bird species including waterfowl.
Historically, the area was utilized by Indigenous peoples for fishing and hunting, and today the park preserves important natural and cultural values. Recreation opportunities are abundant, including swimming at well-maintained public beaches, fishing for northern pike and walleye, hiking on forest trails, and camping in well-equipped campgrounds. Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park is also popular for mountain biking, birdwatching, and winter activities such as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
Notable landmarks within the park include the expansive sand dunes and the spacious beach areas at the public beach and Sandy Beach campground.
