Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area is located in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, encompassing a landscape transformed by its iron mining past. The terrain features an unusual mix of deep, clear lakes formed from flooded mining pits, rolling hills, and forested areas. This distinctive geology creates spectacular water bodies with vibrant blue waters and dramatic cliffs. Established in 2011, the recreation area has become a premier mountain biking destination, featuring over 30 miles of singletrack trails ranging from beginner to expert difficulty.
