Located in the Mesabi Iron Range near Biwabik, Minnesota, Giants Ridge Recreation Area spans a varied landscape of forested hills, wetlands, and lakes. The area sits within the Laurentian Mixed Forest Province, offering a blend of pine, spruce, birch, and aspen that supports diverse wildlife including deer, foxes, and an assortment of bird species. Established in the early 1970s as a ski area to bring economic development to the Iron Range region, Giants Ridge has evolved into a year-round recreational hub.
