The Lough Arrow Complex Special Area of Conservation encompasses Lough Arrow, a large limestone lake, along with its surrounding habitats including bogs, wet grasslands, and upland areas predominantly located across County Sligo and County Roscommon, Ireland. This SAC is designated under the EU Habitats Directive to protect several priority habitats and species. Lough Arrow itself is a deep, oligotrophic lake supporting important aquatic vegetation and diverse fish species like brown trout and Arctic char. Surrounding the lake are extensive raised bogs, wet heaths, and other wetland habitats that provide shelter and breeding grounds for rare bird species such as the Greenland white-fronted goose and hen harrier.
