Governor Dodge State Park spans over 5,000 acres and is located in the Driftless Area, known for its rugged terrain that escaped glaciation during the last ice age. The park features steep hills, sandstone cliffs, and deep valleys, with two lakes—Cox Hollow Lake and Twin Valley Lake—offering swimming, fishing, and boating opportunities. Rich forests with a mix of deciduous trees provide habitat for a variety of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, red foxes, and numerous bird species.
