Brazos Bend State Park is located about 45 miles southwest of Houston, Texas, encompassing diverse habitats along the floodplains of the Brazos River. The park covers rolling countryside with over 5,000 acres of woodlands, grasslands, and lakes that support an abundance of native flora and fauna. Visitors can explore a network of over 40 miles of multi-use trails that wind through cypress sloughs and open prairie. The park is renowned for its alligator population, with reptiles often seen basking along the banks of lakes and ponds.
