Damariscotta Lake State Park is a 588-acre public recreation area located in Nobleboro, Maine. It is centered on the western shore of Damariscotta Lake, a 3,853-acre freshwater lake known for its clear water and excellent fishing opportunities. The park’s geography includes rolling forested hills, wetlands, and several small ponds, creating a rich habitat for a variety of wildlife including moose, black bears, and numerous bird species. Established in 1970, the park provides visitors with a tranquil outdoor escape featuring a large sandy beach, picnic areas, and a boat launch that facilitates canoeing, kayaking, and fishing.
