Huntington Beach State Park, located on the Atlantic coast in South Carolina, spans approximately 2,500 acres. The park boasts an array of geographical features including sandy beaches, marshlands, and maritime forests. Established in 1960, this park was once part of the estate of Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington. The preserved environment is home to a diverse range of species, making it a prime spot for birdwatching with over 300 species recorded. The park is also known for Atalaya, the historical home of the Huntingtons, which is a National Historic Landmark.
