Lake Carlos State Park, established in 1937 and located near Alexandria, Minnesota, encompasses over 900 acres around the northern and western shores of Lake Carlos. The park features a diverse mix of forest types including oak, maple, and basswood, providing habitat for a variety of wildlife such as white-tailed deer, foxes, and several bird species.
