Morning Sun State Park is located in Louisa County, Iowa, encompassing a portion of the shoreline of Lake Iowa, a reservoir formed by the Iowa River. The park provides a tranquil escape for outdoor enthusiasts in eastern Iowa, blending open water, woodlands, and well-maintained amenities. The park’s terrain is characterized by gentle rolling hills, hardwood forests, and wetlands that support a diverse range of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, and waterfowl.
