Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge is located in Liberty County, Texas, approximately 45 miles northeast of Houston. Established in 1994, the refuge covers over 30,000 acres of essential bottomland hardwood forest habitat, a significant remnant of a habitat type that once spanned the landscape.
