Agawam River Wildlife Sanctuary encompasses approximately 316 acres of valuable riverine and forest habitats centered around the Agawam River in Wareham, Massachusetts. The sanctuary features a network of easy walking trails that pass through a mix of upland forests, freshwater marshes, and river floodplain environments. The diverse landscape supports a variety of wildlife including waterfowl, migratory birds, amphibians, and small mammals. Established and managed by the Trustees of Reservations, the sanctuary serves as an accessible natural refuge close to urban areas, offering opportunities for birdwatching, fishing, and peaceful nature walks.
