Zyryanovsky Zakaznik is a designated zakaznik, or wildlife sanctuary, located in the southwestern part of the Altai Republic, Russia. Established in 1982, this protected area covers a mountainous landscape marked by alpine meadows, mixed coniferous and deciduous forests, and river valleys. It plays a vital role in the conservation of regional biodiversity, serving as a habitat for rare and endemic species, including Siberian roe deer, sable, and the elusive Altai argali sheep.
