Outing Highlights

THE WHITEWATER

A trip built around rapids

This half-day run focuses squarely on paddling and rapids rather than extras—expect a whitewater-first itinerary that skips an on-river lunch to maximize time on the water.

THE PACE

An efficient adrenaline window

The experience is a concentrated outing, scheduled for 4 to 6 hours so participants get a half-day of continuous river time without a full-day commitment.

THE CREW

Guided, participatory rafting

Trips run with a certified guide in each raft and require active participation—paddles, helmets and PFDs are issued and guests are expected to paddle throughout the trip.

What the day feels like

What the half-day feels like

From check-in in Lansing to boarding the raft, the Lower New half-day is compact and focused: a relatively short logistics window followed by concentrated whitewater sections where paddling is expected of every participant.

Suitability

Who it's for

Who this trip suits — and who should prepare or reconsider.

1
Thrill seekers & paddlersA direct match: this half-day is designed for people who want concentrated whitewater and active participation rather than a leisurely float.
2

3
People with mobility or health restrictionsNot ideal without prior consultation—anyone with special needs, mobility limits, or health issues should discuss participation with a physician and the operator before booking.
4
Casual outdoor enthusiastsGood for fit beginners who are prepared to paddle and follow a guide’s commands; less suitable for those wanting a low-effort float.
