Duration is approximately one hour for the pool session; please meet your instructor at 9:15am at Fitzroy Island Sports Hub. The day includes a 45‑minute ferry transfer to the island.
Bring a swimsuit, sun protection, water and, if you have them, your own snorkel or SCUBA equipment (own gear not required).
There is time after the pool session for lunch (FOXY bar) or other activities such as kayaking, snorkeling or hiking; ocean dive upgrades are possible if you pass the pool test and conditions allow.

Frequently asked questions
Planning Your Outing
If we can't dive and cancel on the day, can we book other activities?
All other activities are provided through Fitzroy Island Sports Hub, not Octopus Dive; any additional activities require full payment to the Hub.
What if the weather is terrible and we can't dive?
The operator conducts a strict risk assessment on the day; if conditions are unsafe they will cancel and provide a full refund for the dive price (the ferry cost is not covered).
Do we have time to do other activities if we were to book for 2 dives?
Yes — if you book two dives the schedule allows a finish around 3pm, leaving roughly two hours before the ferry departs at 5pm to enjoy the island.
Do we need to book snorkel equipment with the Hub?
If you book SCUBA with gear rental, you may use the snorkel equipment for the day; borrowed gear must be returned no later than 4pm.
Can family members who don't SCUBA join the same glass‑bottom boat?
Yes — SCUBA trips are shared with the snorkel safari, so non‑diving family members can join the same glass‑bottom trip; contact Fitzroy Island Sports Hub for pricing and conditions.
