How long is the course each day?
Plan for full days—sessions run approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on each of the four course days (two consecutive weekends).
Do I need to complete anything before arriving?
Yes. Students are encouraged to finish the Open Water digital academics prior to the course and to review and complete the medical questionnaire and Student Learning Agreement beforehand.
Will I be provided with scuba gear?
Rental scuba gear—including BCD, regulator, dive computer, tanks and weights—is provided; you must own or acquire your mask, snorkel, fins and surface signal marker.
Are there age or medical prerequisites?
Group courses are for students 15 years and older; children 10–14 may be eligible after consultation. A medical questionnaire must be completed and physician clearance is required if you answer yes to any medical questions.
What about refunds for the online academics?
There are no refunds on digital kits once assigned to you.
