THE SCIENCE

Guided by Marine Biologists

Every dive is led and interpreted by experienced marine biologists who run the seagrass restoration and citizen‑science program — expect extended briefings and hands‑on guidance during the activity.

THE TASK

Planting and Restoring Seagrass

Participants take part directly in planting and evaluating Neptune grass during the dives, contributing measurable restoration work beneath the surface.

THE RETURN

Classroom Lab and Microscopic Discovery

After the dives you return to the dive centre for a lab session: peer through microscopes to examine the tiny organisms living on the seagrass and review your dive photos.

What the day feels like

How the day unfolds

The day is a cadence of surface prep, two focused dives and a science debrief: arrive at the dive school for gear fitting and a meet‑and‑greet, travel to the beach or harbour, receive an extended marine‑biology briefing, complete a 45–75 minute dive, break for lunch, return for a second dive with a fresh tank, then finish back at the centre with gear wash and a classroom lab where microscopes bring the seagrass ecosystem into sharp relief.
