Tours run about 2 hours and cover 1.3 miles. In 2025 the tour departs Fridays, June–October at 4:00 PM; the First Friday of the month (June–October) is free for all participants.
Adults pay $5; children 12 and under are free. The tour begins and ends at the Zu Gallery, 48 West Main Street, Cortez, Colorado.
Bring weather-appropriate clothing—tours run rain or shine—and comfortable walking shoes. If bringing a dog, bring a leash and notify the operator in advance.
Street parking is available near the Zu Gallery; a free public parking lot is located four blocks south of the gallery.
