What the day feels like
What the four‑day traverse feels like
The Grand Traverse unfolds as purposeful days of walking beginning each morning, punctuated by safety briefings and vehicle transfers at the start and finish. You move from Powena Creek on day one into increasingly remote country, cross glacially sculpted pads to reach Dixons Kingdom on day two, spend a day exploring Solomons Throne, Mount Jerusalem, the Temple and the Pool of Bethesda on day three, and finish at Lake Rowellan on day four before vehicle transfers back to Miena Village or Launceston. Throughout, local guides carry and manage camp gear, prepare gourmet meals, and provide emergency equipment so you can immerse yourself in the mountains and streams.
