Course itinerary at a glance
The program is delivered across scheduled classroom/confined-water sessions and two days of open-water dives; daily timings are fixed to keep the training compact and progressive.
Day 1 — Classroom & confined-water training
Afternoon session (12:00–17:00) covering theory review and practical confined-water skill practice.
Day 2 — Open-water dives (2 dives)
Morning session (08:45–13:30) conducting two supervised open-water dives to apply confined-water skills in the lagoon and nearby reef.
Day 3 — Open-water dives & wrap
Morning session (08:45–13:30) with two further open-water dives and post-course time at the shop to recap and complete your Log Book.
Participants must complete a Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire and be able to swim 200 metres unassisted; students must be at least 10 years old (ages 10–14 receive a Junior Open Water certification with restrictions). A medical examination per Australian diving standards is strongly recommended before arrival, and anyone with a history of asthma should arrange required bronchial-provocation testing prior to travel.
