What the day feels like

What the visit feels like

The visit begins with an orientation to the landscape and the vines and a clear introduction to biodynamic principles—soil work, cover crops and on‑farm plant preparations—followed by a look at the room where those preparations and plant extracts are shown. A tour of the modern cellar — a cast‑concrete winemaking atelier by Carvalho Araújo with lagares, stainless and concrete vats and barriques — contrasts with a descent into the medieval amphora cellar where wine is made in traditional clay vessels with artisanal hand tools. Tastings are served in the renovated old stone house that opens to terrace, patio and garden, producing a bistro‑style social finish to the visit.
