Experience the Taliesin estate as a living classroom: access to a variety of historic spaces and the surrounding Driftless landscape frames the workshop, letting architecture and land act as design mentors throughout the weekend.

Under instruction from Art & Sons, participants work collectively—observing Wright’s two-dimensional design examples, sketching on-site, and producing limited-edition prints that serve as both artifacts and expressions of the group’s shared exploration.

The workshop includes complementary single-room housing in rustic Taliesin Fellowship dwellings with shared bathrooms, kitchenette access, and communal living space—designed to keep the focus on the legacy of living at Taliesin rather than a resort experience.

What the Weekend Feels Like
Over two nights, the workshop moves between on-site observation and hands-on studio time: a welcome reception and building tour open the weekend, classroom instruction takes place in the Hillside Drafting Studio and other estate spaces, and structured print sessions result in limited-edition pieces produced by each member of the collective.

Each workshop is limited to ten participants; if there are fewer than seven participants signed up one month prior to the workshop, the operator reserves the right to cancel.
Are meals included?
Lunch, breakfast, and one dinner are provided at the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center; the other dinner is an opportunity to explore the local artisanal community individually or as a group.
Is the Taliesin estate accessible for those with mobility concerns?
The program requires walking outside on uneven hilly terrain and on gravel walkways, as well as navigating terraced stairs with no handrails—participants with accessibility questions are asked to contact the operator.
