Group projects: one design for everyone
To keep instruction clear and the session flowing, every participant in a group class works on the same project. Options include wine goblets, pendant necklaces, custom earrings, or glass icicles—each tailored to the group format and ideal for celebrations or team-building.
Short, focused flamework instruction
Classes are hands-on and time-limited—participants make one or several small glass objects (for example, one stem for a wine glass, up to three pendants, or up to five icicles), guided by studio instructors in the flamework studio.
Annealing, pickup or shipping
Finished pieces must cool slowly in the kiln overnight; they are available for pickup the next day after 10:30 a.m. If you can’t stay in town, the studio offers shipping (shipped items may take up to 21 days to arrive).

Flamework classes are short-format sessions—listed at up to 2 hours, with hands-on portions that can run about 90 minutes depending on the project and group size.
Bring water to stay hydrated; participants must be able to stand for the duration of the class.

Do we all have to make the same thing?
Yes. For a seamless group experience, everyone will work on the same project so instructors can provide consistent support.
Do we have to sign waivers ahead of time?
No — waivers can be signed on arrival at the studio.
What are the age requirements?
Flamework classes (icicles, pendant necklaces, earrings, wine goblets) require participants to be at least 14 years old; some Hot Shop classes accept participants age 10 and up.
Should we bring water?
Yes — participants are asked to bring water to stay hydrated during the class.
Why won’t the system let me book?
If your group exceeds the studio’s online booking thresholds or you’re booking within the studio’s short-term window, you’ll need to call the Group Sales Coordinator at 218-464-1799 for manual booking. Thresholds include groups over 12 in Flamework or over 10 in the Hot Shop, and any class within two weeks.
Can we take our items home immediately after class?
No — items must anneal in the kiln overnight and are available the next day; if you won’t be in town, shipping is offered.
Is gratuity handled for group classes?
Yes — a gratuity is automatically included in group bookings to support the studio team and instructors.
