It is one of the most amazing falls in NC—and the various views of it as you hike up to and over it are stunning!

You either need a bike or plan to spend several hours hiking this trail. The trail starts as a gravel road then turns into rough unkempt road after the split. After a short way there's a gate and the gravel turns into a one person/bike width trail that is strenuous and rough in places. Be careful. The trail is generally fun but I think more work than its worth as it dead ends into the river with no waterfall in sight. I spend over three hours here cycling and trying to find it to no avail.
