Visiting Sulphur Mountain in Banff was one of the highlights of our Alberta trip and an experience I would definitely recommend! From the moment we arrived, everything felt well organized, and the views only became more incredible as we made our way up the mountain. We took the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain, and the ride itself was such a beautiful experience. As you go higher, you get amazing views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, the town of Banff, and the Bow River below. The scenery just keeps getting better, and once you reach the summit, the panoramic views are absolutely breathtaking. Pictures honestly don't capture how beautiful it is in person. There is so much more to do at the top than I expected. The Sulphur Mountain Boardwalk was one of my favourite parts. Walking along the boardwalk surrounded by the Rocky Mountains was peaceful and unforgettable. There are plenty of places along the way to stop, take pictures, enjoy the scenery, and simply take everything in. Even if you don't walk the entire boardwalk, there are still many viewpoints close to the main building with incredible views. The summit building itself is very nice and has multiple levels with indoor and outdoor viewing areas, which makes it easy to enjoy the mountain regardless of the weather. There are also interesting displays where you can learn more about the area, the mountains, and the history of Sulphur Mountain. There are places to grab food and drinks as well as a gift shop where you can pick up souvenirs.
