Of exceptional beauty. Words cannot describe what I felt at the summit and in the crater of this volcano. I climbed alone, without a guide, which allowed me complete freedom and the chance to wait for the crowds to descend, giving me the volcano almost entirely to myself. I was able to descend to the crater accompanied by a sulfur miner, and there was no one else on the path or below. Alone with the miners, I experienced a timeless moment of connection that I will cherish forever in my heart and mind.

Some time ago, I had the opportunity to visit Ijen Crater with friends. The journey there was quite exhausting, yet enjoyable, as we helped and joked with one another along the way. Upon arriving at the Ijen Crater area, we began the trek to the crater itself. The cool air and beautiful scenery helped alleviate some of our fatigue. Once there, I beheld a stunning view of the crater, featuring its distinctive water color. I also observed sulfur miners at work. We made sure to capture the moment by taking group photos. After fully enjoying the scenery, we took a rest before starting our journey back. My experience at Ijen Crater was truly memorable. Beyond simply enjoying the natural beauty, I also learned to appreciate the hard work of the miners and the importance of environmental conservation.
