Editorial Assessment

This waterfall scores well for its accessibility, scenic beauty, and unique volcanic rock formations, making it a notable natural attraction near Bayamón. Nice walk to the waterfall which is a beautiful, 70ft tall sheer wall with plenty of vegetation. There are 2 pools at the foot of the waterfall where you can take a dip. The lower pool is deeper and people jump in from a rope swing and a rock. I'd be careful with that, double check depth and for obstructions under the water. Many people say this trai is difficult and I can see how in the rain, given the fact that it is all red mud, it might become a lot more challenging. But all in all it is an easy hike. If it rains watch out for i) slippery conditions and ii) any flash flood situation since the trail does crosses the creek a few times and if the water level comes up, getting out of the hollow might be sketchy.
