The Sonian Forest is a beautiful, impressive piece of nature where you can lose yourself for hours. With countless varied walking routes — from short strolls to strenuous hikes of up to 20 km — there is something for every type of hiker. The towering beech trees give the forest a majestic atmosphere. Do take note, however: the terrain is certainly not flat everywhere. You will regularly encounter challenging up-and-down sections and undulating paths that will really give your calf muscles a good workout. Perfect for those who enjoy a sporting challenge in a peaceful, green environment!

Oaks, beeches, and chestnut trees form the tree layer. Shrub layer. Herbaceous layer: strawberries in abundance, started in summer with a little water. Slugs. Blackberries are at the right time; they are very beautiful and plentiful.
