Fantastic falls! Made a note to come back in the summer, great wading area to take a plunge in. Pretty simple hike with some easily walked over down trees along the way, assuming from Helene. Somewhat muddy/slippery in the snow but really beautiful Cascade. Minimal parking maybe 2/3 spots at most. There is another trail off to the left of the main trail to the falls that you can go further up the mountain. Nice mountain views in the winter without leaves 🌿.

Wow! Trail can be hard to see at places after the hurricane. Just look for the footprints, and you'll be alright. Hike to the bottom of the falls is pretty easy. Getting to the top was pretty difficult. I had to have my dogs stay back halfway up. Incline just gets too steep, basically climbing root ladders. It's definitely worth it if you're an experienced hiker! The view from the bottom is still great if climbing isn't your thing. Beautiful waterfall no matter where you're standing.

This is a super easy trail. But some mud slides damaged the road. Prior to the storm you could likely pass on a wheelchair but not anymore. I was there while doing volunteer work after the storm, so I hiked it caring a chain saw several times for a few days to open the path, but you will have to step over some stuff until someone goes up the trail with a grader.
