We had a fantastic day with a stop at Green Island to snorkel and continue our snorkeling experience on the outer reef. The Outer reef was amazing and the semi submersible was so fun. Snorkeling was incredible and the crew was knowledgeable and friendly.

Beautiful tour suitable for any type of group and families. Only about 30 minutes from Cairns by ferry you can reach this pretty island with various activities to do, especially snorkelling. You can also find food on the island thanks to 2 restaurants and a bar. To spend a great day this is a good place to start seeing everything the coral reef has to offer.

The Great Barrier Reef tours are all good. The airplane tour is the best and gives amazing views from above. The glass bottom boat and semi submarine are also nice experiences. From the airplane, the reef looks like clouds floating in the ocean. It is very beautiful and unforgettable.

We had a fabulous half-day trip to Green Island. We made our booking directly at the terminal/booking office about 30 minutes before the 1pm ferry was about to depart. The booking process was easy, and details were well explained. The ferry ride over was smooth. We were booked on the 2:15pm glass bottom boat; the lady who led the tour was knowledgeable and informative. She explained the fauna well and her style was engaging. The half day tour provides enough time for a leisurely stroll around the island which takes about 30 minutes (more if you stop to look at things). Instructions throughout the tour were clear, especially reminders about returning to the ferry by 4pm in order to catch the 4:15 ferry back to Cairns. All in all, it was a well run operation, things were on time and progressed smoothly, and staff were welcoming and helpful. Our party consisted of three adults, including one person in their late 80s. The tour was comfortable for a person who doesn't walk more than 5-10mins. There is the need for some climbing of stairs. Recommended that you bring your own food to Green Island; catering options are limited to fast food or restaurant food. I'd definitely recommend Green Island Tours.

The reef appears to be very extensive, but not continuous. There were blocks of large coral of every color scattered here and there in the ocean. Unfortunately, aside from some noteworthy clownfish and parrotfish, I didn't manage to see many others. On our way there, we spotted two whales waving and flapping their tails, and dolphins leaping out of the water.
