Absolutely worth-while a visit. Important tip: definitely come here either during dusk or dawn! You will have a much better chance of seeing wildlife in the valley during those times, as it tends to be cooler. We saw hundreds and hundreds of bison grazing the plains, it was spectacular. Do plan ample time, as the bison often will walk onto the road and create traffic jams. Nothing to do but wait and enjoy :)

* Be vary of traffic * Bisons and bears usually come on to road (crossing) early in the morning like around 5 or 6 * You would see bison and grizzly bear too in the afternoon but they are too far and resting. Plan to bring long range camera or telescopes.

Was here in the very early morning and the fog was hanging low. Through the fog we could see outlines of giant animals, upon closer look it turned out to be a herd of bison (bulls, cows, and calves) One was walking over the road to join the herd. Definitely a cool scene with the fog! I would make plans to be here early mornings, park, and hang around awhile!
