Great valley for viewing animals. Bison, Elk, Coyotes, Wolves, Fox, and Bears frequent this area. Also, many bird species can be seen on the water year round.

Beautiful place. Unfortunately we didn't see many animals. Lamar valley is the better place to see wild animals.

Hayden Valley is where we saw a large amount of Bison roaming around. It’s mostly flat but just beautiful. The Yellowstone river runs along side of the valley in some spots. We ran into what’s called a buffalo jam for two reasons the Bison are crossing the road and the vehicles are all lined up to get a great view of all the wildlife.

Our highlight in Yellowstone! We were able to see most of the animals at dusk in the morning and evening. It's simply breathtaking to be able to observe the animals in their way of life! Absolutely recommended spot. Bring your time and enjoy. Getting up early is worth it.
