A truly remarkable hike! Views starting from .25 miles in until the end. We wore running shoes, but there are some loose rocks near the end that hiking boots would be more ideal. It gets rough for about .1 after the first waterfall as you have to navigate fallen trees and go across a small river. But it's so worth getting to the second waterfall. My husband and I started at 6:30am (highly recommend as the drive in is stunning and you'll see lots of wildlife) and did it in 2:47 round trip, but we're going pretty fast. So I'd say plan on 3.5 hours especially if you want to hang by the falls for a bit! It was so worth starting early for the incredible lighting. You won't regret it!
