No view from top. No handrail on edge either. Extremely dangerous near edge.

Beautiful falls, with varying amounts of water tumbling over the cliff, depending on the weather. Thereʻs very little signage, and no promotion, so itʻs a “local secret” in many ways! As a bonus, just a few miles down Hwy 70, going west, you can drive up to Mt Roosevelt overlook for s besutiful panoramic look at the lakes and mountains. One strong word of advice regarding the falls…. BE VERY CAREFUL! There are no handrails, or steps, or safety aides to rely on to steady yourself, and the psrking lot basically leads you to the top of the falls, which has a heart-stopping view down into the gorge! I once had a close call, which still sends a shiver down my spine when I think of it… I was visiting Ozone Falls with an old girlfriend, and as we were leaving the area at the top of the falls, I decided to take a “shortcut”, and step up a small embankment, which was beside the path, and about 10 feet above the creek that feeds the falls… I lost my footing and fell BACKWARDS, past the path, and head-first towards the creek, about 15 feet from the top of the waterfall… thank GOD I landed (head-first) in a thorn bush that was growing out of a little ledge!! When my body stopped, I was hanging dangerously off of the ledge, with nothing to grab onto but the thorn bush…had my gf not been there to grab my leg (in a panic, I accidentally kicked her hard in the chest, but she held on to me), I likely wouldʻve went into the creek, possibly hitting my head on the rocks, and gone straight over the falls, which wouldʻve undoubtedly been fatal! Just remembering the details gives me a shiver, and its been 15 years since then. So take all safety precautions seriously, and hopefully have a friend with you if you go!
