The campground is nice with water and elecricity, clean bathrooms with great showers. The campsites are well separated from each other and fairly roomy. The Blue Springs are incredible with lots of fish and manatees readily visible in the crystal clear water. We were not able to go up to the rise due to rebuilding of the wooden walkway. We hiked one day on the Pine Island Trail. Mostly in the sun on a soft sandy road. It was nothing to write home about. We were not able to go all the way due to a large pile up of downed trees across the trail. Also the trail was quite muddy in spots. I recommend you skip this trail.
