Skyline restrooms. Ridiculous. How in the hell do yall not clean that restroom. That is despicable. Tons of spiderwebs and spiders that could easily be cleaned by the rangers. This is unbelievable. Gave my daughter tears and she just needed to go pee!! She refused she’s a little second grader, and that gave her a huge fright she refused to pee. I never grew up in South Texas with dirty restrooms at state parks. DO BETTER. Seriously . Calling the HQ about this. Unacceptable. Don’t get me started too on the restrooms down below for our tourists visiting Texas. Who the hell is in charge??? Dirty restrooms what an embarrassment.

The best place to tent camp during a Texas August. We had clear nights to see the Milky Way and we always make the drive to Balmorhea for a cool swim during the hottest part of the day. Campgrounds are well maintained and bathrooms were clean.

The weather was lovely only got hot in afternoon for a couple of hours. Clouds rolled in around 3:00 p.m. and cooled temps down. One morning it was 58° F when we got up at around 6:30.
