Rushing Waters of Partnach Gorge

It's certainly a spectacular natural phenomenon, but this is significantly diminished by the fact that the tiny path running under the rock is completely inadequate for the sheer number of people using it. In other words, you constantly have someone behind you wanting to move on, someone in front of you stopping to take selfies, and then there's the constant oncoming traffic... Not suitable for people with claustrophobic tendencies. Add to that the tunnels, which are not only narrow but also so dark you can't see your hand in front of your face. I was lucky that there was usually someone nearby with a flashlight on their phone, whom I could then follow. Not suitable for small children. And since we live in a time where there's a warning sign for everything, I wonder why there isn't a warning about the extremely narrow passage at the entrance to the path, or a note indicating that a flashlight is absolutely necessary? Another option would be to limit entry, stopping after a few hundred people, sort of like block entry. This is done at very narrow church towers or observation towers. Not here. Sure, that might reduce revenue. But apparently, revenue (€10 entrance fee per person!) is more important than visitor safety. Imagine if a panic broke out because of the crush... well. I eventually turned back halfway through, latched onto someone who was heading back, and was incredibly relieved to be out of the tunnel. I certainly won't be going back there.

Very nice place, really worth paying 10 euros and seeing.
