This place was so magical that it made me wax philosophical: We walk up the steep hill to adulthood, and follow in the multitude of steps from the past. When we look back, we see the beautiful landscape of our childhood. We keep going forward through landscapes that blend together into one, and fight our way up hill after hill, hoping to reach the fabled sea, but all we see when we climb that hill are more and more hills. The childhood is a memory, but we are drawn back to it's beauty. When we realize that this hike to the sea is but a hike for glory, we may make the wise decision to turn back. Although each step down may feel embarrassing when we see everyone else hiking up and not down, we may finally make it back far enough that we can see our beautiful childhood once again. Those who make it to the fabled sea may find beauty beyond that of their childhood…but is it worth the desert hike of pain and broken hope? And if they want to return to their childhood, they may need to be rescued, otherwise they may never make it back home.
