They have sanitary service and parking. There are guides who accompany you on the tour; It is 1:30 going up and 1:00 going down. There is horse service for 300 Quetzales round trip. Entrance to the park costs 100 quetzales per person. Recommendations: go up after 3pm when the sun goes down and the sunset view is spectacular, wear light clothing, trekking shoes with good grip on the rocky surface, water and sunscreen. You can bring food.

Did this hike yesterday and while it's nice, the guides ruin it. They are predatory and try to overcharge you for the simplest route. When we arrived 6 guides surrounded our car with only one speaking to us about what's included and the price. We definitely negotiated because it's about an hour and twenty minutes to go up and even quicker going back down, on a very obvious hike, so what are you paying around $70-100 USD for exactly? We made it clear the route we wanted to do by sharing a map from AllTrails and they tried to add $150Q for about an hour of work. Most visitors are hustled to hike to the pizza tent, go up a little more to "roast" marshmallows, and head back down Cerro Chino where you can run down, all for 350Q or more, plus cost of pizza and park entrance. What they're doing is a shame, this is a tourist trap made worse by the heckling and dishonesty of the guides. Check AllTrails maps for the route you want and ensure they agree to it beforehand, and get a fair price before allowing them to decide everything for you.

Short hike, average view. You have to pay for a guide, pay for entrance, pay guide for an extra loop after the pizza spot…

You won't be able to access or even see the crater. 100q/person to get in, 30q for parking, at least 300q for the mandatory guide, and I'm guessing additional payment if you decide to get on the horse that follows your group up even if you tell them it's not necessary. Very cool volcanic rock pizza oven at the top, and a souvenir shop as well. I would recommend the San Pedro volcano over this, same entry fee way longer hike much better view at the top (which you can actually go to) and no mandatory guide or hidden fees. Our guide was indeed excellent, and they should get a cut of the entry fee.
