Beach Bliss at Catseye Beach

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

It’s a nice beach, but not great. Most of the beach is rocky and/or pebbles so hard to enter and exit the water. It is also very shallow so the water goes out a long way and you can walk into the water for 50 metres before it’s up to your waist. Overall if you’re staying nearby it’s ok, but not good compared to most good beaches

Easy, clean beach with soft sand and a good mix of chill tourists and staff. Free sailboats, paddleboards + snorkel gear is a win. Snorkelling’s decent if you push out to the darker patches — turtles, rays, a few reef fish, even sea slugs if you’re lucky. Patches of coral, definitely a simple shallow garden vibe. Visibility can be hit or miss. Sand’s artificial but the marine life in the water still feels wild enough to make it fun. Think of it as a warm-up, not the main reef event. Great spot to just flop with a book. Night walks are underrated — moon over Passage Peak is actually stunning. Plenty of deck chairs here… comfort questionable, views superb.

A truly incredible beach! The island in general is paradise, but Catseye Beach is my favorite. Warm, turquoise water with lots of marine life, so I highly recommend bringing snorkeling gear! I saw fish, a stingray, a guitarfish, and more. It's also full of land animals like the beautiful wallabies. The only downside to the island is the prices and the food; it's preferable to buy groceries and cook at your accommodation.
