Persimmon Ridge is one of my go to places for a quick hilly trail run. The hilly trails take you a round the ball fields and water park making for a 3.3 mile excursion with over 700’ of elevation gain. The ridge views are great and a side trail up around the water tower and the water crossing keeps it interesting!

There are four trails here, John's, Ranger, Walter's, and Luke's, totaling around 3.5 miles. You can also just walk the lane leading to the trails or the path around the parking lot and the water park. Lots of people walk their dogs here. It feels very safe and is close to home. Bathrooms available.

Walked Luke's trail today. Was not prepared for the steep hills. Loved the views though. Lots of huge downed trees, but the path is clear. Update: walked johns trail today. Very nice views and easy trail. Such a nice, pleasant walk for human and dogs!!
