Majestic Rocks of Kangaroo Island

A really great island that has a lot to offer. At the very front is the Flinders Chase National Park, in the very west of the island with the Remarkable Rocks and the Admirals Arch, but also Seals Bay, where you can see sea lions very close, and right next to it the Little Sahara dune landscape, or the American River, to name just a few. The local animals can then also be seen in the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, and some of them can be fed and petted. Despite all of this, I always just liked the landscape with its wonderful colors in the Australian autumn. Oh, and when you leave, be sure to take a few jars of the very special honey that is only available here.

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

Very long day that started at 6.15 a.m. when they picked us up from the hotel. After two and a half hours and a 45-minute ferry ride, we arrived at the island at ten and a disappointing day began. The visit to the sea lions took us an hour after spending another hour to get there. A sad lunch and then came the Remarkable Rocks - the highlight of the trip. After two hours of wandering, the entrance to the visit was a kind of school farm, with a plucked penguin, some sad caged deer, some begging dwarf kangaroos and some bored koalas. Twenty minutes and back to the bus. The driver tries to entertain us but fails. 11 hours to see some sad, skinned kangaroos. And there are still four hours to go back. Pathetic ,
