Majestic Mount Batur: Sunrise Trekking

Super super super to do and redo my guide at the top superb sunrise 👍👍

I'm not that fit and around 50 yo... This trail is definitely hard for me. Took around 1.5 hours to reach the summit and another 1.5 hours to get back. The journey back should be faster as it is downhill but due to my kneecap aching when going downhill. It took me longer. There are 2 types of routes, one by jeep which will fetch you near to the summit and the other is my foot which you can go all the way to the summit. For the foot route, you can hire a motorbike to bring you to very near the summit. You still need to walk a bit if you want to reach the summit.

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

Amazing trekking

I wouldn't recommend this. The area is very beautiful, but I was divided into groups with random people. The description on getyourguide said “moderate fitness required”, but I was sitting with a fat woman who was out of breath after just 5 steps. The walking tour is not difficult at all. You can reach the top within 30-40 minutes. It's really nothing, so don't be scared. It is a tourist attraction where so many people go up. You can also go up there with the engine for 350k. I wanted to walk alone, but unfortunately it is not appreciated if you go without a tour guide. So you are obliged to pay. I definitely wouldn't recommend doing this in a group. Because it is so touristy, people without fitness go up there and they mean that you have to stop constantly. It's an easy climb and you can just smoke a cigarette every 5 minutes. I personally would not climb this volcano. You'd better go to Africa.
